The practice opened on 1/7/20 for Dr Hummel’s loyal patients over the years. Since then, new doctors and patients have been welcomed to the practice. Aspiring new patients are provided with the opportunity to make an application with the relevant form on this website and then to be offered an initial appointment when circumstances permit. We are welcoming to the many tourists who visit our area and we do our utmost to accommodate those who require medical care while away from home.
This is a traditional general practice where patients of the practice are able to have a home visit when it is inappropriate to come to the practice ,and where Dr Hummel is able to be contacted out of hours for those patients whose medical condition warrants attention.
We offer as comprehensive primary health care to our patients as is possible.
In addition ,annual comprehensive medical assessments are done for those over 75 and a one-off for those aged 45-49.Noosa Heads Medical is one of the most accessible Covid-19 sites on the Sunshine Coast.
Book online in the top right tab. We offer all covid vaccines in the Australian market: Pfizer,Moderna , and Novavax vaccines. If your attendance is only for a vaccination, the attendance will be bulk billed if you are eligible for Medicare benefits. The covid vaccine itself is free. Booster doses every 6 months are strongly recommended for all those over 65 or younger if high risk, although all those over 12 who wish to receive a booster may. If you have had covid, the booster dose gets deferred for 6 months.
Monkey pox and Japanese encephalitis vaccinations are offered for those eligible. Please enquire at the practice or on the Queensland health website to check your eligibility to receive either of these.
Since November 1 ,shingrix [shingles] vaccination has been funded and is available for all those over 65 years except if you have recently [<5 years] received a zostavax .We can offer shingrix only to our regular patients.
